Brand Analysis: Cometeer

PROJECT OVERVIEW

In this project, we conducted an in-depth study of Cometeer, a premium, flash-frozen coffee brand, to explore its innovative approach to product design, team dynamics, and market strategy. Through collaborative methods, including design thinking and appreciative inquiry, we analysed the brand’s operations and developed insights into its workflows, customer engagement, and sustainability practices. The project also emphasised leadership and facilitation skills, aligning with broader learnings in strategic design and management.


This work demonstrates my ability to dissect complex business models and contribute to team-driven, creative problem-solving.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Developed skills in facilitating creative teams for strategic design, addressing equity and inclusiveness, and applying collaborative methods to systems-level challenges.


Gained the ability to critically evaluate and adapt facilitation techniques for diverse strategic design contexts

COLLABORATORS

The team initially consisted of 5 people and later expanded to 9 people, all of whom have contributed equally to the research work, discussions and presentations.

At each step, the project was facilitated by our professor, Mark Kroeckel.

METHODOLOGY

The project employed design thinking, appreciative inquiry, and collaborative facilitation methods.

Understanding the Customers

Breaking down what the current Comeeter's customers look like and mapping what the new target audience demands through customer journey map, empathy map, and other frameworks of analysis. Data gathered through secondary resources like reviews, online feedbacks and testimonials, etc.

Analysing the Impact of Proposed Solutions

Identifying scope of improvement and implementing innovative solutions to expand the business can come with a lot of unintended consequences. Keeping the values and mission of the brand at the core, the following mapping highlights the possible positive and negative implications of the newly proposed solutions to the other parts of the organisation and the brand image of Cometeer as a whole.

Supply Chain Analysis

Design strategic solutions to tackle the current solutions in the supply chain and integrate new solutions to make the chain even more efficient.

Prototyping

Simplifying the narrowed solutions and building rapid prototypes.

Marketing Strategy

New taglines and promotion ideas.
